  1. PNOC plans to undertake 7 hydropower projects • Sites being evaluated are: Potential • Timbahan, Madalag, Aklan 23 MW • Catuiran, Calapan, Or. Mindoro 18 MW • Sicopong, Negros Oriental 17.8 MW • Villasiga, Antique 25 MW • Langogan, Palawan 5.6 MW • Babuyan, Palawan 6.8 MW • Pasil, Kalinga, Mt. Province 22 MW

  2. PNOC plans to undertake 7 hydropower projects (contd.) • Catuiran Site • Undergoing financial and economic evaluation. PNOC is also exploring the possibility of getting a private sector partner for the development of the site • Langogan and Babuyan Sites • Recently secured preliminary grant financing approval from Spanish Ministry of Industry and Trade for the conduct of the project feasibility study.

PNOC plans to undertake 7 hydropower projects (contd.) • Pasil Site • State firm is also working on getting a grant financing from the Japan External Trade Organization for a project feasibility study. • Sicopong Site • Feasibility study has already been completed. • Villasiga Site • Project feasibility study is currently being conducted.

  5. 17 Wind Sites for Development • Luzon Potential Sites • Bani and Bolinao, Pangasinan w/ Potentials of 40MW each • Tagaytay, Cavite with 30MW • Donsol-Jovellar, Sorsogon with 70MW • Donsol and Pilar, Sorsogon with 40MW • Matnog, Sorsogon with 10MW

  6. 17 Wind Sites for Development • Visayas Potential Sites • Dumangas, Iloilo with a potential of 50 MW • Siquijor with 10MW • Carmen and Oslod, Cebu with 20MW and 30MW respectively • Allen-Lavezares in Northern, Samar with 10MW • Tomas Opus, Southern Leyte with 10MW

  7. 17 Wind Sites for Development • Mindanao Potential Sites • Gigaquit in Surigao del Sur with a potential of 30MW – the lone wind site in Mindanao to be offered to investors. According to DOE data, the country’s total wind potential is placed at around 70,000 MW.
