Types of Graphs. What guidelines should we follow in choosing a type of graph?. Use a Bar Graph to show comparisons and data that can be counted. Use a Double Bar Graph to show data comparing 2 groups. Use a Line Graph to show changes over time.

  4. Use a Line Graph to show changes over time.

  5. Use a Double Line Graph to show data comparing 2 groups that change over time.

  6. Use a Pictograph to show comparisons and data that can be counted if it involves multiples of a number.

  7. Use a Circle Graph to show parts of a whole.

  8. Use a Histogram to show how often something happens and when using equal intervals. The bars do not have spaces between them.
