What’s New in SAME • 2009 • New Distinguished Post Criteria – Includes sending Board Member and Young Member to annual Post Leaders Workshop for Large and Medium Posts, either Board Member or YM for Small and OCONUS Posts • Membership Streamer based on Total Members (excluding Student Members- STU type) • SAME News delivered electronically and quarterly (except those with no Email address) • LEED Courses offered • SAME University to be offered in Frankfurt, Germany in June 09 • New pricing structure approved by the Board of Direction

Investing in SAME’s Future • Use Education and Mentoring Fund • Send high school students to Engineering and Construction Camps • Send college students to Student Leadership Workshops • Send Young Members to Post Leaders Workshops • Send Young Members and NCOs to the annual Joint Engineer Training Conferences (JETC) • Send NCOs to SAME Joint Engineer Senior NCO Symposiums • Support Small Business • Provide scholarships based on need for aspiring engineers

  9. Future Direction • Continue strong Post organizations focused on Strategic Plan Goals and Objectives Recruitment + Satisfaction = Retention • Future Focus areas: • 10 percent increase in membership • Promote K-12 outreach programs • Sustainability • Diversity
