Syllabus - grading • Lab is approximately 20% of lecture grade • Pre-Labs = 30 points • Lab Reports = 130 points • Laboratory Final = 30 points • Total Points = 190
Syllabus – late work • 1 week late: -1 point • 2 weeks late: -2 points • 3 weeks late: -4 points • Over 3 weeks: No Credit

Lab Safety • Hood Use: • Hoods remove toxic and flammable vapors from the lab • When in doubt, use the hood!
Lab Safety • Waste Procedures: • NOT all chemicals can be put down the drain • Special containers will be provided for proper disposal of chemicals • DO NOT FILL THE WASTE JUG ABOVE THE LINE ON THE CONTAINER!!!!! • If the container is too full notify the instructor or lab assistant
