To increase accuracy as well as productivity in part production, manufacturing processes are simulated in digital environment by virtual machining systems. This can provide useful means for products to be manufactured without the need of physical testing on the shop floor. As a result, the time and cost of part production can be decreased. Procedure of virtual machining systems and applications are presented in the below figure. Inputs: Measured Errors, NC Codes, Simulated Machine Tool Elements, Cutting Conditions Applications: Optimized Cutting Conditions, Finite Element Analysis, Virtual Inspection, Virtual Training Systems Actual Machining Operations Virtual Machining Virtual Machining (CNC Machine Tools) By: Mohsen Soori University: Amirkabir University of Technology Supervisor: Prof. Behrooz Arezoo Amirkabir University of Technology
