SHRI SAIBABA Shraddha Saburi Shri SaiBaba came to Shirdi some time in 1858 A.D. No body knows which religion he professed. An outstanding aspect of SaiBaba is that He is beyond distinction of religion, caste or creed. Baba’s authoritative words ‘Sab Ka Malik Ek hai ‘ (God is one) have profound influence on all his devotees, be they Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Parsees and Jews.
SHIRDI…. A PLACE OF FAITH FOR DEVOTEES Shirdi is located in Ahmednagar District, Rahata Taluka in Maharashtra. It's location is close to the Ahmednagar – Manmad state highway. Thousands of devotees from all the nooks and corners of India visit this place, travelling on foot, by bus, railway or private vehicles. Manmad railway junction and Kopargaon railway stations are nearest to shirdi. Saibaba emerged in shirdi as an extraordinary personality and took 'Samadhi' after 60 years of life as a part of his incarnation work. The place, shirdi which has become a holy shrine since Saibaba has set foot on this soil and also due to his work as an incarnated being. Shirdi is a place where people of any caste, creed or sect are given entry. Shri Saibaba had assured his devotees that after his demise people would come here in thousands like ants. From here itself Baba gave the mantra of 'Shraddha Saburi' due to which the Baba's tomb i.e. samadhi place has become a centre of energy for lakhs of devotees. DUTIES AND POWERS OF PRESENT MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE (As per Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi Act-2004) Subject to any general or special orders of the State Government, it shall be the duty of the Committee to manage the properties and affairs of the Sansthan Trust, efficiently. To make proper arrangement with respect to the rituals, worship ceremonies and festivals in the Temple according to the custom and usages, to provide necessary facilities and amenities to the devotees and to apply the income of the Trust to the objectives and purposes for which the Trust is to be administered under this Act. Subject to the provision of this Act, the Committee shall have all the necessary power for performing its duties and functions under this Act. As per Notification by Govt. of Maharashtra, Dated 23rd August, 2004, the Management Committee is appointed for the term of 3 years. FACILITIES TO THE DEVOTEES : ACCOMODATION There are 853 rooms inclusive of General, VIP, A/c, Non A/c & Halls available for sai devotees accommodation purpose. Also 435 Lockers are there to keep the belongings of the devotees temporarily. PRASADAYALA Prasadalaya works for 12 hours from 10 am – 10 pm providing & serving full unlimited square meal as prasad to all the devotees at subsidized rates of Rs. 5/- per Adult & Rs. 2/- per Minor. At a time more than 1000 devotees can take a meals. Daily around 15-25 thousand and during heavy rush 35 thousand Saibhaktas get full meals as a Prasad in Prasadalaya. CANTEEN Sansthan provides Tea, Coffee, Milk to the Devotees at low cost for 24 hrs. Also provides Food Packets @ Rs. 3/- per packet, which is available in morning between 7 am to 9 am. SAINATH HOSPITAL The Hospital serves nearly 1000 outdoor patients a day and accommodates nearly 200 patients for treatment. FACILITIES TO THE DEVOTEES : SUPER SPECIALITY HOSPITAL This hospital will be catering in branches of Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Dialysis, Plastic Surgery etc. at the No Loss No Profit basis. MEDICAL AID & CHARITY SERVICES Finanical Aid to the needy and low-income patients for the severe costly treatments and their operations like heart-surgery, cancer, kidney failure, etc. is being provided by the sansthan itself. Last year the expenditure for these causes is Rs. 6.07 crores. BLOOD BANK A Unique Blood Bank in Ahmednagar District, well equipped with Blood Component separator unit. It supports all the major operation theatres in Shirdi & the adjoining areas. DRINKING WATER & ELECTRICITY Sansthan provides 20-25 lacs litre Clean Drinking Water, and also an uninterrupted electric supply to all the premises. Also keep watch on suspicious persons as well as persons creating anti social activities.
SECURITY SERVICES….. • The following security measures for the convenience of • Sai devotees at Samadhi Mandir and Darshan Hall : • The darshan queue for about 9000 Sai devotees has been arranged in 4 halls. • There are 4 doors in all the above 4 halls for emergency exits. • There are sign boards put up for preventing the burning of crackers and such other explosives in Temple premises. • The security guards in uniforms and in civil are posted at the queue lines to prevent any panic, spreading of rumours, creating confusion among the devotees etc. • A permanent first aid arrangement is made at the temple premises and also there is provision of a well equipped ambulance at the time of heavy rush. • There is provision for Mukh Darshan for those devotees who are unable to wait for a long time. • There is a high-class electric system installed to avoid any short circuit.
