  7. DRIVER PREPARATION PROCEDURESTopic #1 • 1. There are five things you should check before entering a vehicle • Check for small children and pets • Check for fluid leaks • Check for tire inflation • Check for obvious physical damage • Check the position of the front tires • 2. Approach the driver’s door from the front when parked next to a curb. • 3. Approach the driver’s door from the rear when parked in a parking lot. • 4. The driver should sit at least 10 inches from the steering wheel. • 5. Place the drivers hand (Use an “X”) in the correct position on this steering wheel.
