FQ12210 – Rehabilitation of Parking Garages at Vienna (South), Southern and Suitland General Information The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Parking Garages at Vienna (South), Southern and Suitland are three active commuter parking garages that serve the Washington DC Metro area stations along the K and F lines. Commuter garages have a high occupancy rate during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. Occupancy rates are much lower during the weekends. Rehabilitation work is expected to be mostly completed during the normal work week.

It serves as public parking for the Washington DC Metro K Line – Vienna / Fairfax – GMU Station. Constructed in 2000. Precast and prestressed elevated structure. Slab on grade at the basement level. 5 Elevated decks. Approximate square footage is 733, 200.

FQ12210 – Rehabilitation of Parking Garages at Vienna (South), Southern and Suitland Southern Parking Garage • Southern Parking Garage Southern Located between Southern Avenue SE and Oxon Run Drive. It serves as public parking for the Washington DC Metro F Line – Southern Avenue Station. Constructed in 1995. Precast and prestressed elevated structure. Slab on grade at the ground level. One elevated deck. Approximate square footage is 580,000.

Slab on grade at the ground level. 2 Elevated decks. Approximate square footage is 600,000.

FQ12210 – Rehabilitation of Parking Garages at Vienna (South), Southern and Suitland Typical Rehabilitation Requirements The rehabilitation of all three parking garages consists (but not limited to) of the following: Waterproofing of all elevated decks. Replacement of expansion and construction joints. Repair of concrete spalls at top and underside of decks. Repair of concrete cracks at top and underside of decks. Replacement of bearing pads at underside of precast members. Replacement of deck drainage system. Cleaning and painting of fire lines and wash down piping. Removal and new application of striping at all parking levels. Renovation of stairwells and bathrooms. Replacement or cleaning of electrical conduits and components.
