  1. GERMAN INVASION OF BALKAN PENISULA Hitler had thought that to conquer the initial powers, he would need to achieve alliances with other nations. His plan to achieve this goal was ruined by Mussolini. He invaded the Balkan Peninsula, hoping and expecting to take it over easily. Unfortunately, they were losing and Mussolini asked for Hitler's help. And Hitler answered his plea, even if it was a hard decision. This only gave him a short tem win because in two years he would be receiving a lot of problems for what he did. Hitler Strikes Again! Our courageous, brave leader has done it again. He was able to conquer the Balkan Peninsula. He made a plan called MARITA that was accomplished at an amazingly swift rate. Hitler secured his southern flank and protected our oil source. He conquered both Yugoslavia and Greece. He had managed to bring all nations of the Balkan regions under Axis domination. Is there nothing he can’t conquer. Sánchez, José M. "Germany Invades Crete."
