  2. จุดประสงค์รายวิชา ๑. เพื่อให้มีความเข้าใจหลักการคำนวณเกี่ยวกับงานช่างด้านเครื่องกล ๒. เพื่อให้สามารถคำนวณความยาว พื้นที่ น้ำหนัก การกำหนดพิกัดความเผื่อของชิ้นงาน ความเร็วรอบ ความเร็วขอบ และความเร็วตัด อัตราทด และระบบส่งกำลังด้วยสายพาน และเฟือง ๓. เพื่อให้มีกิจนิสัยในการทำงานด้วยความประณีต รอบคอบ และมีความคิดริเริ่มสร้างสรรค์
