Engineering Drawing • Standard Paper Size: • A0: 841 x 1189 mm • A1: 594 x 841 mm • A2: 420 x 594 mm • A3: 297 x 420 mm • A4: 210 x 297 mm • A: 8.5 x 11 in • B: 11 x 17 in • C: 17 x 22 in • D: 22 x 34 in • E: 34 x 44 in • F: 28 x 40 in
Frame 2 If the drawing dose not need to be bound, use “e” instead of “c” and “a” in above table.
Frame 3 • Create a frame for a drawing: • File -> Set Working Directory • New -> Format -> Select position (e.g. Landscape) and standard size (e.g. A4) -> Sketch (Chain & straight line) -> Sketch the frame -> Save -> OK
Table 2 • Create a table: • Table -> Table -> Select Ascending, Leftward, By Length, and On Entity -> Select the lower right corner of thee frame -> give the coordinates for each column and each row -> DONE • Merge Cells and Unmerge Cells: • Merge Cells -> Select the cells you want to merge them together • Unmerge Cells-> Select the cells you want to unmerge them
Table 3 • Add Text to the Table: • Double clicks on the cell you want to add a text -> Write your text in Note Properties Window -> OK • Change Text Style: • Text style-> Select the options (e.g. Height) you want to change -> OK • Create Your Own Style: • Format -> Manage Text Styles -> New -> Style name -> Select the options (e.g. Height) you want to change -> OK
Table 4 • Use following items to show the information automatically in the table: &todays_date, &model_name, &scale, &dwg_name, &type, &format, ¤t_sheet &total_sheets, &dtm_name
Create an Engineering Drawing • Move the frame file (*.FRM) and all the part files (*.PRT) into one folder • File-> Set working directory -> select the holder • New -> Drawing -> Don’t select use default template -> Name -> OK • Browse -> Select a part (a part file) -> Open -> Emptywith Format -> Browse to find a frame file-> Open -> OK
