  1. The Sacrifice of Our Lips The Privilege of All Christians

  2. Two Challenges for All Christians • Flesh versus the Spirit

  3. Galatians 5:16-17 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. 17 For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. NASU

  4. Two Challenges for All Christians • Flesh versus the Spirit • Ritual versus Real Worship How can song worship help us to win both of these battles? By Being the Sacrifice of Our Lips

  5. Hebrews 13:10-16 We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat. Privileged Priest

  6. Hebrews 13:10-16 11 For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside the camp. 12 Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate. 13 So, let us go out to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach. Privileged Priest Outside the Camp

  7. Hebrews 13:10-16 14 For here we do not have a lasting city, but we are seeking the city which is to come. Privileged Priest Outside the Camp Seeking

  8. Hebrews 13:15-16 15 Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. 16 And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. NASU Privileged Priest Outside the Camp Seeking

Colossians 3:12-17 So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.

  15. Colossians 3:12-17 14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.

  39. The Sacrifice of Our Lips What do we want to dedicate to ourselves? What do we want to dedicate to others? What do we want to dedicate to the Lord? Lord, help us to give ourselves as a living sacrifice.
