RSPG Plenary outcome • RSPG adopts final 2010 Work Programme • Radio Spectrum Policy Programme: time plan and preliminary orientations for delivering the opinion • Digital Dividend: continue work supporting the European roadmap and giving input to the RSPP • Cognitive Technology: final adoption of the Report and way forward in 2010 • Approved the main lines of work in the area of RSPG-BEREC cooperation on competition aspects in spectrum matters and on radio broadcasting development • RSPG discusses new Rules of Procedure
RSPG 2010 Work Programme • Multiannual Radio Spectrum Policy Programme • Harmonised EU Participation in International Negotiations • Digital Dividend • Competition aspects in spectrum assignment and usage (joint work with BEREC) • Technology impact on spectrum management • Cognitive Technologies • Radio Broadcasting
RADIO SPECTRUM POLICY PROGRAMME TIMELINE • Presentation of a draft preliminary Opinion to the Spectrum Summit – 22-23 March • Extraordinary RSPG meeting soon after the Spectrum Summit • Start of public consultation tentatively before end of March • First conclusions by April
RADIO SECTRUM POLICY PROGRAMME PRELIMINARY LINES OF WORK • Contribution to the EU´s 2020 vision • Promotion of efficient spectrum use for growth and competitiveness • Spectrum governance in EU • Spectrum is a national resource which should be coordinated and managed in a common European way by Member States • External relationship • “One common European voice” regarding spectrum issues providing clear trend • Objectives • Identification of high priority issues and next steps
