  4. Geographical location • Nigeria is located in west Africa • The geographic coordinates are: 10 N, 8 E • Nigeria's borders are: • Niger on the North • Cameroon on the East • the Atlantic Ocean on the South • Benin on the West • Chad on the north-east

  5. Nigeria is divided into 36 states and FCT i.e. Abuja. With three major geopolitical region i.e. Northern, southern and western Nigeria. • Although it has large number of local tribes, there are three major tribes spoken by most of the people in each of the region which are Hausa-Fulani, Yoruba and Igbo.

  11. Source of water • the major source of water for agriculture is rain, which varies from seven to twelve month per year with annual rainfall between 300-4000mm per year, this made Nigeria to depend mainly on rainfall for agricultural production.
