  1. What determines who we become? Hello I am 14 years old. I was born at Yakima Memorial Hospital. I have one brother that is 3 years older than me. For the first 5 years of my life I lived Zillah, then we moved to Harrah were my dad and mom started a farm with about 20 cows and 80 acres. But today we about 90 cows and 360 acres. I started preschool when I was four. I think preschool was the funnest because we had nap time and play time, preschool is also were I met one of my best friends, Tristan. By the time I was five I had started kindergarten which was ok because we still had play time but we didn’t have nap time. Then when I was seven years old and in second grade I broke my ankle trying to do a 360. When I started third grade I also started 4-H which was a big financial help in my life. When I turned ten I started grid kids which I did four two years. By the time I was eleven I bought a four wheeler with the money I had from showing animals. When I was 12 years old I showed a steer at the Central Washington Junior Livestock Show in Toppenish and I got reserve grand champion which is like getting second. By getting reserve grand champion I got two dollars a pound at the sale. In the fall of 2009 I bought a truck which is used on my dads farm, but I will drive it when I get to be 16. This is who I am. Who am I? Who am I? Cody Oliva Tristan Spencer Cody's Timeline There are lots of things that make people who they are, these are mine. Well first off I’ll tell you a little bit about my parents. My father lived and grew up in White Swan, he played football and basketball. He was taught values and life skills that made him successful. Values and life skills that he is teaching to me each and everyday. My Mother is originally from Nespelem, WA but she moved around a lot during her school years, all the way down to New Mexico, then all the way up to Alaska and everywhere in between. Since she moved around a lot she sometimes had problem with her grades so she always told me to focus on my studies and to get good grades. She also taught me a lot of other values and life skills. My parents have been a primary influence in my life. But no always at the same time. My life started at Yakima Memorial Hospital, on June 28, 1996. I was 10 lbs 7 oz when I was born! My parents had me while still in college, so for the first few years of my life I lived in Seattle, WA. Where I grew to love the WASHINGTON HUSKIES!!! After my parents got done with college I moved to back to the valley and lived in a house by Heritage University. After a while of living there my parents decided to build the house that I currently live in. They also started a business together. When I started school I meet one of my best friends, Cody. Then on January 26, 2001, I became a big brother. I was so happy when he was born. Now he is just a pain. All was good at this time but then my parents decided to get a divorce. After awhile my mom moved to Nespelem, I went with her. I lived with her in Nespelem for about four years until I moved to Lapwai, Idaho where my mom’s husband, Quincy was from. I lived in Lapwai for about two years. During those two years I was first introduced to the sport of football. I love football. If I could only play one sport it would be football. After those two years I moved to live with my father in the summer before my 7th grade year. I have lived here ever since. I have really enjoyed living here. All of my life experiences have made me into who I am. Tristan's Timeline Interview Afghan Culture Interview Culture could influence a person very strongly . In Afghan culture , there religion guides a persons everyday life from the time they are born to the day they die. They also recognize themselves as Afghans but their primary loyalty is to their family. IMy dad was born in Woodside Cal. His dad died when he was 12. about 8 years later he finished collage and moved to wash with his mom were he met my mom. My Dad was born in Yakima, WA just like me. He was raised in White Swan and went to the school district all of his school years. He met my mother in high school. 24 circles 24 circles Nature VS Nurture Nature VS Nurture is a big argument in the scientific community. Our personal opinions on what is more important is Nurture. We believe that nurture is more important. For example if you like the same things as one of your parents that’s only because you grew up liking those things. That isn’t in your genes
