  2. Menu – Thursday, Oct. 31st Grilled Cheese Sandwich OR Fish Sandwich Tomato Soup Fresh Veggies/Dip Fruit Choice Milk 3rd Line – Salad

  3. Attention Spain Travelers! • We will have a meeting Tuesday, November 5th in Ms. Picha’s Room (120). • You must attend either at 7:10 AM or 2:20 PM • Some important details will be discussed. See Ms. Picha with questions.

  4. Attention All Students: • Please refrain from spraying excessive amounts of perfume/cologne in the hallways.   • We have students who may be allergic to these products.

  5. Attention Fall Athletes! • We will have the end of year athlete surveys on the following dates in the Counseling Center: • Football - Monday, Nov. 4th 8:40am • Volleyball - Tuesday, Nov. 5th 8:40am • B & G CC - Wednesday, Nov. 6th 8:40am • B & G Soc - Thursday, Nov. 7th 8:20am • G-Ten & G-Swim/Dive - Friday, Nov. 8th 8:20am •  Survey should take about 10 minutes max.

  6. Interested in Girls Softball? • Any girls grades 9-12 that are interested in going out for softball in the spring, there will be a short meeting in Coach Hilsgen’s Room (Room 112 at the MS) TOMORROW (Thurs.) at 2:45 pm.  • If you are unable to attend the meeting, please let coach Hilsgen know.

  7. Attention Band & Choirs Students: • First payments and commitments for all students going on the Band/Choir Trip are due Friday.  • Please make sure to turn those into Mr. Moe or Mr. Kleindl.

  8. Attention Boys Basketball: • Boys Basketball meeting grades 9-12 TOMORROW (Thurs.) in Coach Rude’s room (206) right after school.   • Schedule’s will be passed out at the meeting.

  9. Red Ribbon Week • The good news is the majority of older school students choose to not use drugs. • We applaud the majority of you for leading a healthy, drug free lifestyle!

  10. Musical – Friday @ 7:45 am • Tickets will be on sale during lunch and before school through TOMORROW (Thurs.) for the High School morning performance of Seussical. • Tickets are $4.  You must purchase a ticket in order to get into the show.  • Those not attending must attend a study hall during the performance time.

  11. Friday Schedule (11/1) • 7:35-8:30 – Block 1 (report to block 1 for attendance, then dismissed to auditorium for musical or to a study hall room) • Musical or study hall - 7:40-9:40 • Pep Fest - 9:40-10:10 • Block 1 - 10:15-10:53 • Block 2 - 10:58-11:36 • Lunch(East) - 11:36-12:11 / Block 3 (East) 12-11-12:49 – Seniors will have open lunch. • Block 3 (West) - 11:41-12:19 / Lunch (West) 12:19-12:54 – Seniors will have open lunch. • Block 4 – 12:54-1:32 • Block 5 – 1:37-2:15

  12. Attention Seniors: • Senior College Applications • Seniors will report to the Counseling Center at these assigned times:  • Oct. 31st • Seniors P-S will report to the Counseling Center at 10:30 am • Seniors T-Z  will report to the Counseling Center at 11:00 am

  13. Math Lab • Math Lab Schedule: • Thursday - 2:15 -4:00 - Room 226 with Ms. Dobratz • Tuesday - 2:15 – 4:00 - Room 205 with Mr. Otremba

  14. Knowledge Bowl • There will also be a meeting after school at 2:45 in the Media Center at the High School TODAY (Wed.)!

  15. Donations Appreciated! • Donations of any $ amount are now being accepted for the McLeod Alliance for Victims of Domestic Violence. • Money will be used to purchase toiletries for victims in need. • Drop off donations in the HS Office by TODAY (Wed.). • Thank you for your support!

  16. Volunteers Needed! • Trick or Treat for UNICEF • 4:30 pm Thursday, Oct 31 • Meet in the West Parking Lot. •  Ditch Clean-up • 11:30 am Saturday, Nov 2 • Meet in HS Circle Drive •  All students are welcome to join us at these events and become members of Key Club.

  17. Attention Seniors • Senior pics are due FRIDAY – See Ms. Lloyd with questions • Pics can be emailed, brought on a cd or flash-drive or you can bring a wallet and it will be scanned. • Check the lists by Hamlow, Lloyd, Harris, Anderson, CC, Office, Library, or Sr. Lounge to see if your picture has been submitted.

  18. Attention Seniors: • Senior Photo, Grad Fee & Diploma Name form are all due Friday Nov. 1st. Extra forms available in the HS Office. • Senior Meeting with Jostens regarding caps & gowns has been changed to FRIDAY, NOV. 8TH at 8:40 am in the HS Auditorium. • If questions, please see Kathy in the HS Office.

  19. Strength & Conditioning Winter Session • There will be a mandatory meeting for those interested in Winter session of Strength & Conditioning Friday Nov. 1stright after school in Mr. Beffert’s room.  • Please if any questions, see Mr. Harlander or Mr. Beffert.

  22. Join Social Justice League to make a difference in our school, community, country, and world! All students are welcome to attend to learn about the club, awesome events we have coming up, and ways to get involved and build your resume for college and your future!   23. Attention Juniors: • Eligible juniors are urged to contact Mr. Walshprior to Thanksgiving with their interest to earn the scholarship nomination for the Carson Scholars program. In order to be eligible as a 2014 Carson Scholarship, students must have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 or above on a 4.0 scale in the combined academic subjects: English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Foreign Languages. Only one student from each school is able to apply, ensuring that each nominee epitomizes academic excellence. Carson Scholars must display humanitarian qualities through community service.

  25. Donate your old phones! • Turn in your old, used, unwanted cell phones. • They will be reconditioned/repaired with proceeds being donated to help the victims of domestic violence. • Please drop them off in the designated box in the HS Office or Counseling Center. • Deadline is Nov. 15th! • Thanks for helping!!

  26. McLeod Alliance wants you! • McLeod Alliance wants you — teenagers — for a new teen leadership group, • • Learn about healthy relationships. • • Develop leadership skills. Have fun with peers from area schools. • • Decide what activities Youth Advisory Board does in our community. • • Attend Teen Leadership Summit at Mall of America in February 2014. • • If interested, please call Jill Barrall at the Mcleod Alliance 234-7933.

  27. 2014 American Legion Oratorical Contest • Applications are now being taken for participation in the Regional Oratorical Contest. • The prepared oration must be on some aspect of the Constitution with emphasis on the duties and obligations of its citizens. • If you are interested in this program, please go online to www.mnlegion.org or see Mr. Walsh for details.

  28. Breakfast in Foyer • Check out the breakfast in the foyer from 7:10-7:30!

  29. Are you a high school (middle school) student who’s making a difference through volunteering? • If so, go to http://spirit.prudential.com to access the online application. •  The Prudential Spirit of the Community Award recognizes the top local, state and national volunteers. • The deadline for application is Tuesday, November 5, 2013.

  30. Register Your Electronic Devices! • In an effort to prevent theft, as well as increase the likelihood of retrieving stolen items, Officer Berry is offering students the opportunity to register their electronics with him. • Please see Officer Berry, Sarah or Kathy in the HS Office for the form!
