  6. Project goal The development and validation of a “Train the Trainers” package supporting the provision of staff training activities which develop and enhance the e-learning and teaching capability of staff within participating tertiary institutions.

Project goal: training package The training package will • include two modules of an entry-level staff development programme* • incorporate technologies & strategies to support & enhance e-learning • consider the needs of participating institutions *based on Massey’s Online Learning & Teaching Programme

Project linking • eCDF171 NZ e-learning guidelines (Massey) • the entry-level programme will staircase into • eCDF124 Grad/Post Grad Diplomas in Applied e-Teaching • and Support (CCE) • eCDF477 Cert in e-Learning Design & Development (North Tec) • Grad Diploma of Information Technology in Education • (Applied eLearning) (Wintec)

Project’s objectives • develop two modules of an entry-level (non-NZQA) • staff development programme • - target audience: teaching and support staff • develop and deliver an online course for staff developers • which includes: • - online professional development strategies • - using the NZ e-learning guidelines: theory and practice • - adapting module 1 of the entry-level programme
