  2. What is 3-D? • It is a frame work to discuss an dimprove various kinds of instructional design languages and documents.

  3. 3D Instructional materials • Object and specimen -build generalizations that would otherwise cost prohibitive amounts of time.

  4. 3D Instructional materials • Models and mock-ups • Models anreodified real things. • Mock-up is an arrangement of a real device or associated devices.

  5. 3D Instructional materials • Diorama - Is a 3D representation of events, ideas or concept against a scenic background. Also known as meaningful exhibit.

  6. 3D Instructional materials • Puppets - Artificial figures whose movements are controlled by a person.

  7. Types of Puppets • Shadow puppets - Normally 2 dimensional in nature, controlled by rods that are much thinner than the rod puppet, make use of translucent screen and a light source.

  8. Types of Puppets • Rod puppets - They are flat cut figures tacked to a stick, with one or more movable parts, and operated from below the stage level by wire rods.

  9. Types of Puppets • Hand puppets -is made to slip over the hand like glove, head is operated by forefinger of the puppeteer.

  10. Types of Puppets • Glove-and-finger puppets - They make use of old gloves to which small costumed figure are attached.

  11. Types of Puppets • Marrionettes - This are suspended and controlled by a number of strings, sometimes a central rod attached to a control bar held from a puppeteer.
