  11. Mesothelioma diagnostic accuracy quality of follow-up We revised 12 cases still alive three years after diagnosis

  12. Mesothelioma(12 cases checked) Result of the check 7 mesothelioma (all surgically treated, some of them received also chemo+radiotherapy) 4 revision of the clinical records 1 breast carcinoma, M+ 1 leiomyosarcoma of the lung

  13. Conclusion (1) • Larynx: the majority of NOS case were squamous cell carcinoma • Adenocarcinoma of nasal cavities: subsite for half of the cases was defined • Eye NOS: subsite for the majority of the cases was specified • Sarcoma NOS: a little bit less than 50% was confirmed • Mesothelioma: 7 of 12 confirmed (surgically treated).

  14. Conclusion (2) • It is possible to improve data quality • EUROCARE-5, will stress the check on morphology • The revision of the informatised dossier of the cases permits in many cases to collect information on stage and treatment • High resolution studies are feasible
