Cigna Dental Plan Training • Cigna Dental • Started offering for individuals January 1, 2014 • Available to all ages including people over age 65 • Uses the Cigna PPO dental network • One of largest networks available • Bigger network than most competitors such as Aetna PPO, Humana, Careington, etc….

2. Cigna Dental Plan Training • Plans Available in AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, NC, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA • Three plan types to choose from (All PPO plan designs) • Preventative • 1000 • 1500

3. Cigna Dental Plan Training • Preventative • Preventative Plan-  Covers two cleanings and X-Rays at 100% (no balance billing with participating dentists.)  Basic and Major services are not covered but are billed at the Cigna discounted rate which would allow for a 15% to 40% cost reduction depending on the procedure.  Rates vary by age and area but this plan is $14.00 a month on average

4. Cigna Dental Plan Training • PPO 1000 • PPO 1000- Covers two cleaning and X-Rays at 100%.  Covers basic services (such as fillings) at 80% and covers major services (such as Crowns at 50%)  The plan has a $50 deductible for basic and major services and a $1,000 benefit max per person per year.  Rates vary by age and area but this plan is $25.00 a month on average. • Also covers Ortho at 50% (waiting period cannot be waived)

5. Cigna Dental Plan Training • PPO 1500 • PPO 1500-Covers two cleaning and X-Rays at 100%.  Covers basic services (such as fillings) at 80% and covers major services (such as Crowns at 50%)  The plan has a $50 deductible for basic and major services and a $1,500 benefit max per person per year. Rates vary by age and area but this plan is $28.00 a month on average • Also covers Ortho at 50% (waiting period cannot be waived)

6. Cigna Dental Plan Training • Waiting periods • No wait on the Preventative plan • 6 month wait on basic for the 1000 and 15000 • 1 year wait on major for the 1000 and 1500 • Waiting periods will be waived if member had previous dental plan for 1 year. • They will need to send a certificate of coverage to Cigna to waive waiting periods.

7. Cigna Dental Plan Training • PPO plan • In network dentists must follow the fee schedule. They cannot balance bill the member • Out of network dentists are allowed to balance bill over the allowable charges • Discounts apply to all services (very important to consider with the Preventative plan) • $1,000 or $1,500 ben max does not take discounts into consideration

8. Cigna Dental Plan Training • Enrollments • Clients can enroll with a paper application or through your personal broker portal • Access all your clients status through portal • Send links for them to enroll and get credit • Enroll them in person through your broker portal • Cigna site is www.cignaforbrokers.com • Payment- monthly with EFT or credit card

9. Cigna Dental Plan Training • Commissions • $50 per member • Example: single person is $50 but a family of 4 would be $200 • Note: Comp for NC is $20 per member • Referral program • Refer an agent to us and get $10 for every member they write

10. Cigna Dental Plan Training • Contracting • You must submit a client paper application prior to being appointed. (can use electronic enrollment after that) • One an application is written, fax, mail or email it to Crowe and Associates.
