Algebraic expression • An algebraic expression is when you can use any numbers for that problem and you replace them with letterers • Examples • Ax0=0 • Ax1=A • (A+A)x3=3x(A+A)
Cell, Column and rows Cells are the boxes. a column is the part going up and down. Rows are the boxes that go side to side.
Formula • RxRx3.14=A • Lx2+hx2=perimeter
General pattern • A general pattern is when the sum is different then the sum for an • Example • 90+(-90)=0
Rate Rates are used to show date over time also to can compare different things in the corner you can see they are comparing 3 different things
Special case • A special case is an exception to a rule or an easier way to solve a problem. • X2- 9=(x+3)(x-3)
Square root • The square root is when you take a number and find that it multiplied by its self = that number. Examples • The square root of 9 is 3 • 100 is 10 • 81=9 • 64=8
Unit rate • The denominator of a fraction is 1 of something. • For example, I get paid $8.51 an hour 8.51/1 • My car goes 70 miles an hour.70/1
