European Union • 2935th Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council Meeting - March 2009 • Proposed a Recommendation on measures, to promote e-accessibility, and particularly to implement the WCAG 2.0 • EC Standardization Mandate 376, Phase 2 • Accessibility Requirements for Public Procurement in the ICT Domain • (CEN, CENELEC and ETSI to harmonize and facilitate the public procurement of accessible ICT products and services)

France • Décret n° 2009-546 du 14 mai 2009 • Establishes the "Référentiel Général d’Accessibilité pour les Administrations RGAA" Based on WCAG 2.0 Germany • The BITV is currently in the process of being reviewed and expected to be updated by the end of 2011. This will include adoption of WCAG 2.0.
