  2. TASK 1 • Take a virtual field trip. • Go to http://volweb.utk.edu/Schools/sullivan/colonial/volcano.htm • Pick a trip and start exploring!!!

  3. TASK 2 • List the six types of volcanoes and give an example of each. • Click on each type of volcano to view example.

  9. Breadcrust Block • Formed when lumps of viscous, gas- rich lava are ejected from a volcano. • Described as a well-baked, crusty loaf of bread.

  11. TASK 6 • Take a hike!!!! • When you get here choose one of the volcano adventures and write a short essay, journal, or poem about your adventure.

  12. On August 21st, 1999, three intrepid young explorers began a journey that would take them through some of Europe's wildest and remotest areas. They spent a month exploring and photographing the volcanoes, geysers and waterfalls of Iceland.
