  2. Special Considerations • Extremely Active Environmental community • Location on Monterey Bay • College Town with high volume of foot and bicycle traffic at all hours • Very Active Arts and Entertainment Venues throughout city.

Infrastructure and Construction Considerations • City Average PCI=48 • Old, narrow, shaded streets. • Lack of previous maintenance • Typical ocean side weather • Afore mentioned environmental issues • Strategy Chosen for Project • City prep, contractor treat • Cape Seal • (PMA TR/SLURRY) • PMA Terminal Blend Tire Rubber bid proved very cost effective. Well below City • Engineer estimates

  4. Project Highlights • City and Contractor coordinated efforts well • Low Cost allowed almost twice as many • streets to be treated as originally estimated • PMA TR applied with no special equipment • and no environmental issues. • 0 Safety issues
