  2. When Sarah comes home, always run to greet her

  3. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joy ride

  4. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy

  5. When it’s in your best interest – practice obedience

  6. Make sure you get the best bed in the house (even if it’s not your house)

  7. Let others know when they have invaded your territory

  8. Take naps and stretch before rising

  9. Run, romp and play daily

  10. Thrive on attention, and let children sit on you

  11. When your are happy, dance and wag your entire body

  12. Delight in the simple joy of a long walk

  13. Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough

  14. If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it

  15. Never pretend to be something you are not

  16. Smile for the camera

  17. No matter how often you are scolded, don’t buy into the guilt thing and pout…run right back and make friends

  18. Be loyal

  19. Be proud to pee in public

  20. When your owner is having a bad day (and losing her head), be silent, sit close and nuzzle her gently
