Shepherd Selection Timeline Shepherd Selection Timeline • June 24th: Present shepherd roles and responsibilities • Congregation encouraged to provide feedback • July 8th: Shepherd nomination begins; day of prayer with Biblical teaching on shepherd characteristics • July 22nd: Shepherd nomination closes • July 27th -28th: Shepherd Nominee Prayer, Reflection, and Discussion Retreat • August 5th: Shepherd nominees announced to congregation • August 5th-12th: Opportunity for scriptural concerns to be raised & addressed • August 19th: Affirmation vote on each shepherd nominee • August 26th: Shepherds announced to congregation

Shepherd Responsibilities & Services • Direct mission, vision, and values for our body • Spend time in God’s Word and praying over individuals and the whole body • Care for and feed the flock searching out and bringing back lost members • Teach, encourage, and strengthen thereby equipping the body for ministry and evangelizing the lost • Exemplify Christ through actions and words • Hold the flock and other shepherds accountable to the mission, vision, and values Ezekiel 34:11-16, Psalm 78:70-71, Acts 20:28, Ephesians 4:10-12, Titus 1:9-10, James 5:14, 1 Peter 5:1-5, Hebrews 13:17

  3. Congregation Participation • Praying and encouraging • Using your spiritual gifts to serve • Staying informed and participating in each step of this process • Thanking and showing appreciation for the men who are currently serving as shepherds and those who have in the past.
