  3. announcements • If you have your name on the board, I will see you on Thursday for extended opportunity. • If you are missing work from fall break until now (Middle ages, renaissance, reformation) it is all due by the close of grades Friday. • If I do the “if you can hear me clap once…” then you need to be quiet. • If you are absent I am writing your name on assignments and will have them in the back, you are responsible for your copy of assignments I originally give out. #TooManyCopies

Exploration • Put everything away except for your notes from yesterday and a writing utensil. • You may use your notes. • Write in complete sentences or your answer will be marked wrong. • Flip over the quiz when I say to. • No talking or looking at someone else’s paper or I will take your test and you will receive a zero.

  6. World explorers chart • We will be using the Document Camera.

  7. “things fall apart” • Things Fall Apart is set in the 1890s and portrays the clash between Nigeria’s white colonial government and the traditional culture of the indigenous Igbo people.  • This book is relevant to what we are learning because it illustrates the interactions between indigenous people and conquerors. • Main character: Okonkwo • Answer the questions as we read. • Limited copies are in the library.
