Quantities & Changes • Primes need to understand that they have to deal with small quantities and erosion problems themselves or with on-location subs. • Quantities and When they Change – 1 week ahead at least. • Before We arrive - We can not afford our employees watching while the job is being redesigned. • Freight – Quantity increases can affect profit. • P.M. changing their mind or waiting until the last minute leads to the next topic. • These don’t apply to Eastern Nebraska AGC/NDOR Partners in Construction
Schedule • We need a realistic view of when. • As job progresses. • Large problems need to be addressed ahead of time. • Large quantity changes need to be addressed ahead of time. • P.M. adding work, changing mind at the last minute or not sure how to address a problem, then putting it off. • Don’t make me lie to the next P.M. • Mobilization is always a problem - to your job or from your job. Communication • Pre-construction Conference is a start – if the job has a 404 permit, is a large grading job or high profile job – the erosion contractor needs to attend. • Erosion contractors not knowing or understanding what needs to be accomplished before bidding and as project progresses. • On the job - what are the levels of authority to talk about problems.
