The US is a federation of 50 states, governed by the President The foundation of the US government was established with the Constitution The Constitution was established in 17. 9. 1787 It´s consist of: Preambule, Bill of rights and Amendments to the constitution Politicalsystemofthe US
In theConstitution, there are 7 articlesand 27 amendments • preambule: We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. • Thefederalgovernmentisdividedintothreebranches: Legislative, executiveandjudicial

Duties of the President - proposes and vetoes bills - serves as the Commander-in-Chief - signs treaties - appoints all ambassadors, ministers and consuls and also appoints judges of the federal bench
Is made up of Federal District Courts, 11 Federal Courts of Appeals and on the top the Supreme Court Judges are appointed by the President and must be confirmed by the Senate The Supreme court is made up of eight associate justices and a Chief Justice Judicialbranch
