The Phrase “Friendship Is Essential To The Soul” was selected as the fraternity’s motto.
Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift were adopted as Cardinal Principles.
3. WHY WAS THE FRATERNITY FOUNDED?
Provide a medium for men of like minds and ideas to foster the concept of Brotherhood on a Black College Campus
Promote Education
Establish the need for Civic Responsibility within the Negro Community
4. OMEGA PSI PHI MANDATED PROGRAMS SCHOLARSHIP – Encourage academic excellence; Provide monetary assistance to high school and undergraduate students
SOCIAL ACTION PROGRAMS
Mentoring – Young Black Males
Talent Hunt - This program provides exposure, encouragement and financial assistance to talented young people participating in the Performing Arts.

6. THETA LAMBDA LAMBDA HISTORY Chartered Jan 9th, 2002 – with 26 charter members to serve the needs of Citizens of Coweta and Fayette Counties.
Fall 2003 – Established Theta Lambda Lambda Foundation, Inc. 501(c) (3) – Monies are used exclusively for our Scholarship Program
2005 – Conducted our first program to initiate new members
9. THETA LAMBDA LAMBDAFOUNDATION PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS ANNUALLY TO BLACK MALE STUDENTS IN BOTH COWETA AND FAYETTE COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEMS.
FUNDED MAINLY THROUGH OUR ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
PROVIDED 30_SCHOLARSHIPS TO DATE FOR A TOTAL OF OVER $40,000.

11. SOCIAL ACTIONS PROGRAM PROVIDE MONETARY, CULTURAL, EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT TO FAYETTE/COWETA COUNTY CITIZENS
ADOPTED THOMAS CROSSROADS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Committed $1500 for school year 2010-2011 to adopted school (Thomas Crossroads Elementary School) to purchase accelerated reader books for class room
Conducted annual school supply drive and provided school supplies to fully support 6 students for school year 2009-2010
Presented 34 PowerPoint slide presentation on African American pioneers, inventors, athletes, and public servants to entire Thomas Crossroads Elementary School student body for school’s African American History program
Volunteered and supervised school’s field day activities
Celebrated Martin Luther Kings birthday and read to 3 Kindergarten classes

ESTABLISHED CANCER RELAY FOR LIFE TEAM & DIRECTLY RAISED $2045 (April 2010) FOR THE AMERICAN CANCER ASSOCIATION TO HELP FIGHT CANCER
CONDUCTED BOOK DRIVE (OPERATION PAPERBACK) AND SHIPPED OVER 100 BOOKS TO DEPLOYED ARMED SERVICE MEMBERS OVERSEAS (June 2010)
PARTNERED WITH THE AMERICAN RED CROSS & SPONSORED CHARLES DREW BLOOD DRIVE (June 2010); Chapter instrumental in Red Cross collecting 18 pints of blood

CO-SPONSOR THE ANNUAL MEN OF VALOR CONFERENCE IN FAYETTE COUNTY – provide young males with tools to excel in high school and establish the framework to seek higher learning.
TUTOR YOUNG MEN IN MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL ( Newnan Boys and Girls club)
PROVIDE MONETARY AND MANPOWER SUPPORT TO A NEWNAN BOY SCOUT TROOP

2006 OMEGA PSI PHI GA STATE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD –Presented to the (small) chapter that donated the most money to scholarship in the state of Ga.
