  4. DVD: Attitude • Watch DVD (26 minutes) • What are the 3 attitudes being described in the DVD? • Each one of those attitudes describe a type of person, what are they?

  5. ACTIVITY:Check your attitude “Describe a recent situation at work, at home, at school, or in public that led you or someone else to demonstrate an attitude. Complete the following statements to determine what kind of attitude was communicated.” Use your work sheet. Allocated time: 10 min

  6. Attitudesare communicated by: • The words you use (what you say or don’t say) • The tone of voice (how you say what you say) • Yourbody language and facial expressions(what you do)

  7. What does attitude sound like? • Positive attitude: verbally communicated with action wordsin an upbeat, enthusiastic tone of voice. • Negative attitude: verbally communicated with words of resistance in a whining or abrasive tone of voice. • Neutralattitude: communicated through silence, however, it may be expressed with apathy by using passive language.
