  2. ANT/CNSE houses over 125 state-of-the-art 300mm wafer tools when build out is completed. Designed for 32nm node & beyond but compatible with previous generations. Unit process, module integration, and full flow capability. Facility will have a 45nm baseline process for use by partners. Facility capable of 25 integrated wafer starts (WSD) per day. 24/7 operation, wafers would be released 6 Days / Week. Rapid turn around time available to speed learning. Economic Impact > Investment & Jobs A $600m State investment in 2000-2001 has generated over $10bn in private investment since then, creating 6,200 jobs • Investment impact: • Total private investment into Albany Nanotech for the 2001-2009 period is $3.4bn, which has been supplemented by $800m in State funding • Investment in the wider Albany region in the same period has been over $9bn, of which $7bn has come from non-government sources • Employment impact: • Currently, 1,800 people work in Albany Nanotech’s 17 different centers – this is expected to increase to 2,500 in 2009 • Investment in the wider Albany economy between 2001 and 2009 is estimated to create over 4,400 jobs • Economic impact: • The $10bn private sector investment in nanotech in the Albany region is likely to have a total economic impact of closer to $30bn, through multiplier effects • With hi-tech wages averaging $81,000 in 2006, and assuming employment grows again in 2010, the hi-tech wage bill in 2010 may reach over $1bn |
