CASP Background • CASP started in 2004/05 with 6 pillars: • Info & Knowledge Management • Technical & Advisory Services • Financing Mechanisms • Training & Capacity Building • Marketing & Business Development • On- & Off-Farm Infrastructure • 70% of CASP for land and agrarian reform beneficiaries • Spending improved 55% to 85% • 83% of R450 mil spent over first two years

  3. CASP TARGET/PERFORMANCE: 2005/06

  4. What has been planned to support ito MTEF CASP Allocations: 2007/08 = R415m 2008/09 = R435m 2009/10 = R478m Total = R1,328bil NB. This figure excludes provincial equitable share contribution which constitutes on average 30% of their provincial treasury allocations. Comment: The above amounts will not be enough to support the Land and Agrarian Reform ito Massification programme.
