  1. Pontifical Mission Societies In The United StatesNational Directors’ Meeting: April 27-29, 2010 (Chicago) Catholic Foreign Mission Society of America (Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers) Preview of 100th Jubilee Celebrations 1911-2011

  2. Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers1911-2011 “The Gift of Mission…The Maryknoll Journey” A Preview

  3. Maryknoll Society Co-Founder’s Vision • Father Thomas Fredrick Price (1860-1919): • Church essentially missionary: “At the present time the Church in the United States is sending out almost no missionaries to foreign countries. In a few years this is likely to be changed. We look for the Catholics of the United States to become the greatest mission force in the world, and therein lies the salvation of the Church in the United States….It will not be long, we trust, before every school and every parish will be an organized mission centre. It will not be long, we trust, before there will spring a number of general apostolic schools that will foster foreign mission vocations as is done in Europe.” (Truth, Vol. XIII, No. 12, December 1909; p. 286)

  4. Maryknoll Society Mission Vision Statement “Given our grounding, our identity, our relationships, and our reading of the world around us, we draw upon the teaching of the Church and the rich experience of our members for the main aspects of the (integral) evangelization process: The Good News (is) shared through Presence and Witness; Human Promotion and Liberation; Liturgical Life, Prayers, and Contemplation; Interreligious Dialogue; Proclamation and Catechesis.” (“Sent To Proclaim Life”; p. 4; XI General Chapter – 2002)

  5. Maryknoll Society’s XII General Chapter (October 2008) Celebrating 100 Years Of Mission And Beyond “As Maryknoll Society members, we are filled with gratitude, affirmation, and renewal as we celebrate the Centennial Anniversary of Maryknoll’s foundation and commitment to mission. We see this occasion as an important Jubilee opportunity to renew our relationship with God and all creation and to rejoice in communion with our partners in mission; and especially the other entities and members of the Maryknoll Family. We gather to celebrate our Centenary throughout the world in the context of the Eucharist, which brings us together and transforms us into the Body and Blood of Christ, broken and poured-out for the world which daily struggles within the context of the Paschal Mystery.” (“A Reader’s Guide to the Pastoral letter of the XII General Chapter, Keeping Alive the Flame of Mission”)
