Sampling Network • All sites include FRM samplers for compliance • Speciation Trends at Blair, Arnold, Alton, and Bonne Terre • Species and other time resolved data - East St. Louis Supersite • Continuous Samplers at Blair, East St. Louis, Clayton, Arnold (recent) and Bonne Terre
Key Points • Concentrations are high near the urban core and along the Mississippi River • Two sites are currently in violation of the annual PM2.5 standard, including East St. Louis, IL and Granite City, IL (high site) • Concentrations at Blair St are highest for Missouri

Summary • Source Apportionments for sites where speciation data exists indicate several significant factors at all sites including: • Secondary Sulfate (Regional) • Secondary Nitrate • Motor Vehicles • Influences of other sources may vary, including steel smelting, copper production, and zinc production • One area where more data may be necessary is Granite City. Plans by OAQPS are underway to acquire source and nearby ambient samples and analyze resulting data to provide a better understanding of source factors at the Granite City neighborhood scale site.
