Coosa Valley Elementary SchoolOctober 2013 Newsletter Mark Your Calendars! • October 2-8 Book Fair • October 10 Fox’s Pizza Day (be sure to eat at Fox’s Pizza Den in Eden as CVES receives 10% of all profits on this day • October 16 – Violin Ensemble field trip • October 18 – PTO Goody Friday (remember to send money with your child if you r child if you want them to purchase anything. Items range from .25 to $1.00) • October 23 – 2nd Grade Field Trip • October 24 – Report Cards • October 24 – 3rd Grade Field Trip to Eden Elem. for Heritage Day • October 25 – 1st Grade Field Trip to the Birmingham Zoo • November 1 – Fall Fun Day Friday October 11, CVES will attend the system wide Pep Rally at Pete Rich Stadium. Please dress your child in black and gold. School will dismiss on October 11 at 1:00 and the homecoming parade begins at 3:00. Each Friday during football season the PTO will be selling Panther Paw tattoos for $.50. In addition, on Friday, October 11 they will also have pom poms for sale for $1.00. PTO Goody Friday is October 18. There will be items for sale such as brownies, drinks, cookies, popcorn, chips, candy bars, water, yoohoos, capri suns, snow cones and much more. Items range in price from $.25 to $1.00. Remember: children will not be allowed to call home if they forget to bring their money.
