DATA PROCESSING CYCLE MS SARA
INTRODUCTION TO PROJECT In this project we will study water cycle as an example of data processing cycle. First of all we need to collect data in the context of water cycle that is rain and snow.
Relation of Water Cycle with Data Processing Cycle We relate our project with all the steps of data processing. • When we collect the information in the form of rain and snow, we relate this step with Data collection. • Then the next step is data capture when we focus the problem and that is “Production of electricity” • Then the next step is communication ,we relate this step with the complete process of water cycle . • The final and last step is transmission and we relate this step with availability of electricity.
PROJECT IDEA • In this project our focus is on the production of electricity which is the main and biggest problem we are facing nowadays. • In this project we will explain briefly the process of water cycle and how to preserve water. • For this students will design brochures to create awareness among the people to save electricity and water that shows the complete data processing cycle including all steps.
Model Making To make it more clear we will make a model • Include graphics and explain what each of these parts of the water cycle mean. • A poster can have cotton clouds and bright yellow lightning. Be sure to draw and label each part of the water cycle relating the data processing cycle. • A large container like a cake pan with a lid can be used to make a model. Put some warm water inside to represent a lake. Add some land and mountains made out of clay. Tip the pan by placing a book under one end. Put on the lid and place a bag containing some ice cubes on top of the lid.
Activity 1 We will present the project idea through an activity…. • When you woke up this morning and looked out the window, you probably choose what you were going to wear outside by looking at the sky, the clouds, and the land around you. The sun gives us light to see and it also provides heat energy. This makes it hot or cold depending on how much sunlight reaches the earth. The sun not only heats up people but it also warms the water on the earth. Activity 2 • Pour water into a pan or cup and place it near a window or outside where the sun can shine on it. Check back in a few hours or the next day to see if some of the water has evaporated.
