  2. Monday – Day 1 ARRIVE AT SAN JUAN AIRPORT Meet English-speaking guide and board your coach. TRADITIONAL DINNER AT NUESTRA TIERRA Enjoy typical Costa Rican cuisine in a lively atmosphere. TRANSFER TO RAMADA HERRADURA Spanish colonial architecture features open air walkways and beautiful tropical gardens

Tuesday – Day 2 CORSICANA PINEAPPLE PLANTATION TOUR Learn about the history, cultivation and the operations of a pineapple farm TIRIMBINA CHOCOLATE TOUR & HIKE You’ll see the chocolate-making process first-hand and have the opportunity to treat your taste buds to organic rainforest chocolate! TRANSFER TO SELVA VERDE RAINFOREST LODGE Nestled in the rainforest, fauna such as Keel-billed toucans, two-toed sloths and howler monkeys can be seen in the lodge areas and the reserve. SarapiquiConservation Learning Center PRESENTATION You will hear a brief presentation about the SCLC’s history and mission, and how it works to accomplish that mission through education, conservation, and community development programs.

  4. Wednesday - Day 2 ARENAL NATIONAL PARK HIKE Enjoy a hike across an old lava flow where you will learn about the most important aspects of the Arenal Volcano. See amazing views of the lake and the volcano. TRANSFER TOARENAL OBSERVATORY LODGE Located with impressive views of ARENAL VOLCANO and ARENAL LAKE. SKY TRAM & SKY TREK The Sky Tram consists of gondolas that provide a slow, smooth ride up through the forest. Returning by the Sky Trek,a system of high quality zip lines that zigzag back and forth until you reach your starting point.

  5. Thursday – Day 3 VISIT WITH THE MALEKU TRIBE ECOTERMALES HOTSPRINGS Experience this hidden gem, a family owned hot springs with several pools surrounded by lush gardens. EVENING VOLCANO VIEWING OR VOLCANO MUSEUM

  6. Friday - Day 4 ARENAL HANGING BRIDGES In this natural paradise, you will walk a 3 km trail crossing 15 bridges. TRANSFER BACK TO SAN JOSE SARCHI FOR SHOPPING This artisan town is the arts and crafts capital of the country. Today, Sarchi is still heralded for its beautiful oxcarts. OXCART FACTORY An important part of Costa Rican history, the oxcart was used in the mid-nineteenth century to transport coffee and other goods.

  7. Saturday– Day 6 DOKA ESTATE COFFEE PLANTATION The processing plant still functions as efficiently as when it was first built. For this reason it was declared “Historical and Architectural Heritage” by the Costa Rican Government in 1993. GUAYABO NATIONAL MONUMENT The largest Costa Rican archaeological site. Largely unexplored, the area contains ancient trails, bridges, water tanks and homesites, as well as petroglyphs estimated to be about 3,000 years old.
