01-28-13 Monday Biology Agenda Objective and reminders Objective: demonstrate an understanding of replication, translation, and transcription. Become introduced to mutations. Reminders: Test Thursday! Bring 50 cent in by tomorrow! Lab can not be pushed back again ( if you need a parent letter, one can be printed) Homework: Have vocabulary done by Friday. ( daily reminders will be on power-point), vocab is the next slide • Bell Work 33 ( complete chart on the front board) – 10 min • Notes: Mutations ( Changes in DNA worksheet)- fill out and follow along with the power-point. ( 15 -20 min) – power-point copy righted and CANOT BE ATTACHED!- we will stop at the pedigree charts • Applying to real life ( examples of mutations) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzTw3n6BXtw ( watch 10-15min) 4. Closure:reminders

Advisory week of 1-28-12 In advisory today have student use the place mats to match the lipids and carbohydrates. Then have them complete a venn diagram comparing proteins and carbohydrates. They must include 2 differences not found on the place mats and 1 commonality not found on the place mats. Rebuild place mats compare Nucliec Acids and Lipids, complete venn diagram, They must include 2 differences not found on the place mats and 1 commonality not found on the place mats. Wednesday • Rebuild place mats compare Nucleic acids and Proteins, compete venn diagram, They must include 2 differences not found on the place mats and 1 commonality not found on the place mats.
