  2. Whatever your hand finds to do, verily, do it with all your might…

  3. …for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol where you are going. Eccl 9:10

  4. I again saw under the sun that… Eccl 9:11a

  5. …the race is not to the swift…

  6. …and the battle is not to the warriors,…

  7. …and neither is bread to the wise, nor wealth to the discerning, nor favor to men of ability; for time and chance overtake them all. Eccl 9:11b

  8. Moreover, man does not know his time: Eccl 9:12a

  9. …like fish caught in a treacherous net…

  10. …and birds trapped in a snare…

  11. …so the sons of men are ensnared at an evil time when it suddenly falls on them. Eccl 9:12b

  12. In addition to a good work ethic, what helps bring everything into perspective in such an “uncertain world?”

  13. The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil. Eccl 12:13-14

  14. We pray we worked this past week as Solomon instructs. If not, may we make it our goal to do so this coming week, the Lord willing. Above all, may we fear God enough to obey what is in His word.
