Color Schemes • Monochromatic-Hues of a single color.
Color Schemes • Analogous- colors next to eachother on the color wheel.
Color Schemes • Complimentary –Colors across from each other on the color wheel.
Color Schemes • Secondary Colors- color is made by mixing two primary colors. Red + Yellow= Orange Red + Blue= Violet Blue + Yellow= Green
Color Schemes • Intermediate/ tertiary colors- They are made by mixing a primary and a secondary color together. Red-Orange Red- Violet Blue-GreenBlue-Violet Yellow-GreenYellow-Orange

Assignment: Day 1 • Design 2 non objective drawings in your sketchbook (one with organic shapes and one with geometric). Layer your shapes. • Choose 2 different color schemes for each drawing. • Write your color scheme and colors down in your sketchbook. • Color your 2 drawings with the chosen color schemes.
Assignment: Day 2 • Draw your non objective designs on painting paper. (2 designs on 2 different papers) • Trace over your pencil lines with a black sharpie. • Write your color scheme and which colors you need on the back of your papers. • Complete your color wheel worksheet and a sketchbook assignment.
Assignment: Day 3, 4 and 5 • Know your color scheme and colors you will use (written on the back of your paper). • Paint your 1st drawing. Stay in the lines and take your time. Paint 2nd drawing. • Do not get out of your seat without permission. • Clean up when I call your table: Paint brushes in soap bucket, water cups placed on back counter, butcher paper and paint thrown away, wash your hands.
