More on AutoCompletes • Institution Name AutoComplete from F&A List • AutoComplete Helpful hints – • Type in a few letters of the unique part of the name • Type slowly, let search happen • Inst. initials may produce results if data is in F&A table • Some metrics have unique or “helpful” institution lists (Ext. Awards, Service on Ext. Committees) Metrics Database

  15. Helpful Hints for Data Entry • For all categories, start by checking the data already in the database to avoid double entries • For long-term categories like editorships, teaching, and fellowships • What if there is a date change? and/or • What if the role changes? Metrics Database

  16. More Helpful Hints for Data Entry • Check out the “End Date same as Begin Date?” Feature • Once you’ve entered a record review the results • The page will display the last five entries for that staff member or org Metrics Database

  19. Expansion of Reporting Options • THE FABULOUS Quick Answer Feature – Allows you to apply filters and then select a column for subtotaling. Will display subtotaling in a summary table without detail. Optional to also apply FY filter. • From the Data view screens • Select what you would like to count & subtotal • Displays on Screen and exports to Excel Metrics Database

  30. FY13 OpenSky Refereed Publications Goals research services resources • Review list and add any missing refereed publication citations • Make sure all of this year’s citations have a full text document

Goal #1 - Adding our missing FY13 refereed publication citations research services resources • Library has collected all the FY13 refereed publications citations available in the Web of Science (509 to date, probably 100+ more to find based on last year’s numbers ) • Next Steps for Authors and Admin – • Verify citations for refereed publications bibliography • Collect any missing citations (and their full-text documents)!

Goal #2 Making sure each refereed publication citation has a full text document research services resources • Library has collected full text documents for refereed publications published by AGU, AMS, and Springer (331 of the 509 FY13 refereed citations) • Need help collecting the remaining missing 178 full text documents

Goal #2 - Collecting missing full text documents research services resources • On December 9, Library will email an FY13 Missing Documents Report to each Chief Lab/Program Administrator, Division Administrator, and Metrics Maven for: • Distributing to authors/staff to identify missing documents • Upload the missing documents in just 3 easy steps (instructions in email with reports) • Deadline is Friday, January 31st
