Balance sheet Note: 1. Includes intangible development costs of £70m; 31 Mar 05 £66m; 30 Jun 04 £61m. 2. Total Group net debt is £874m; £885m is disclosed in net debt, offset by £11m of net cash included in assets held for sale.

Outlook • Continued recovery at Process Systems and APV • Controls remains difficult but GL07 in place • Rail Systems order improvement will gradually benefit sales Overall 2005/06 performance expected to remain in line with expectations
