Be sure to always check with your HR department for specific guidance.

  18. Illegal Questions Strategies: • Answer the concern behind the question • Don’t take the job unless the slip was small, inadvertent, or made by a non-manager • Beware of concerns that exist even if not asked • Address concern without mentioning the concern

During the Interview • Ask any questions about the job as soon as possible • Don’t forget this is an interview: always maintain professional physical and vocal delivery • Stay focused on your strengths, when in doubt: go with your 3 things • Behavior questions (tell me about a time when…) use STAR (situation/task, action, result)
