  2. Founder and Origin • L. Ron Hubbard is the founder of Dianetics and Scientology, Hubbard characterized Scientology as a religion in Camden, New Jersey, in 1953. • Headquarters located in Gold Base Riverside County, California.

  3. Primary Figures • L. Ron Hubbard • David Miscavige (current religious leader) • Four individuals helped form the HDRF (Hubbard Dianetics Research Foundation) An attorney, a publisher, a doctor an engineer. • Groups of students who traveled around the world to Phoenix Arizona to learn more about Scientology, then took it back to their countries to start Scientology groups.

Current Hierarchy • David Miscavige "religious leader" • Lay practitioners • Staff • Sea Organization • comprising over 5,000 members; it is composed of the most dedicated members, who commitment by signing a billion year contract • Scientology is structured like a business, making sure every duty is filled. The dynamic principles of existence is compartmented into eight different parts, all integral to the essence of life. These are referred to as the eight Dynamics

There are definitely misunderstandings about the religion though.
