  3. Les personnages principaux Le Docteur Slump crée un robot d'une jeune fille de 13 ans et décide de la tester en l'insérant dans la vie du village en la présentant comme sa sœur Arale. Cependant, celle-ci possède des supers pouvoirs (force, vitesse, intelligence) ainsi qu'une grande naïveté, et va chambouler la vie du village .Le but et inavoué de Slump est d'épouser Midori Yamabuki, l’institutrice de l'école du village .
