Minister (Responsible for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Act 1975) GBR Ministerial Forum Comprises two Ministers each from the Australian and Queensland governments with responsibility for matters related to environment and marine parks, science, tourism and/or natural resource management. It is chaired by the Federal Environment Minister. Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority Non-Executive Members: Melissa George, Margie McKenzie, Tony Mooney and Jon Grayson • Audit Committee Chief Executive | Chairman Russell Reichelt (07) 4750 0847 Reef Advisory Committees (RACs) Catchment and Coastal; Ecosystem; Indigenous; Tourism and Recreation RAC Members are appointed by the Authority, and report to the Authority. RACs generally meet two or three times each year. The RACs are supported by the relevant GBRMPA General Manager and Director. Local Marine Advisory Committees (LMACs) Cape York; Douglas; Cairns; Cassowary Coast; Hinchinbrook; Townsville; Bowen/Burdekin; Whitsunday; Mackay; Capricorn Coast; Gladstone; Burnett LMAC Members are appointed by the Authority, and report to the Authority. Each LMAC is assigned a GBRMPA Director. LMACs generally meet four or five times a year. Chairs of the LMACs meet once or twice every three years (per LMAC term).
