  3. Background Information • A baseline survey indicates that up to 47% of children in China’s Guizhou province are infected with intestinal worms.

  4. PROBLEM • Local health officials are slow in providing treatment interventions due to lack of right incentives

  5. INTERVENTIONS • Health education training • Financial subsidy • Incentive for doctors

  6. Theory of Change Activities -Provide health education training programme to doctors/villagers -Allocate financial resource to implement the health education programme -Offer doctors a financial incentive to keep worms prevalence down Input -Budget (Gov’t& WHO) -Doctors & Practitioner -Medical Equipments -Baseline data

  7. Theory of Change (Cont.) Outcome -Reduced the number of children infected with the intestinal worms -The increased awareness of the intestinal worms protections Output -The increased number of the children participate in the health education programme
