? Sneaker pimps Side Hustle: Store vs eBay $$$ arbitrage
Hat-tip to: @CJ_Johnson17th (click to view tweet) ?
1. Go to stores with name brand discount racks 2. Look-up prices of discounted items on ebay 3. If good $$$ gap, buy them 4. List on ebay 5. Return those you don’t sell within ~14 days
● Enough to buy 2-3 key items ● Discount sneakers, ~$50 a pop x 3 = $150
● for example: ● $90 on ebay ● $70 in store (discounted) ● = $20 margin ● ~28.5% ● $150 to spend ● 28.5% x $150 = ~$43 each time round
● 2 hour shopping trip (buying & returning) ● 1 hour listing/selling on ebay ● 2 hours packing/posting
● Don’t sell an item.. ○ Return it! ● eBay Customer return.. ○ Relist it ○ Return it! ● Customer fraud.. ○ Report it ○ Factor into your margins
? How could you scale this?
1. Outsource ebay listing 2. Outsource packing & posting 3. Do more buying trips 4. Price to move 5. Source better deals & higher margin opportunities
