Comments: At the moment, there seems to be no special need for N2 ports in any of the test boxes.If such a need arises, they should be easy to retrofit.Note newer smaller boxes.  Some details have been changed from the original concept, based on discussions with Leo Tatananni at the LNGS machine shop. He suggests 5mm Stainless Steel for the box construction, with all joints TIG welded.   I concur.Details shown are generic and I encourage using local suppliers where possible, and will gladly modify design details if necessary to accommodate off-the-shelf solutions.Final details will be designed around specific seal cross-sections, Yet to be selected.Next steps might be to forward these concepts to Ezio Previtali and the Milano(?) Group for comments about the feasibility and proceedure for doing a suite of tests to proof Radon resistance of selected configurations and materials.
